Chihaya was asked by Ritsuko Akizuki to take care of Chihya, whom Miki Hoshii found on a tropical island. She was reluctant at first as it is a big responsibility but she grew to love her so she decided to keep her. A running gag is she constantly wants to name the Puchidols Gonzales, however she is always shot down.
